Field visit to the Okhla Bird Sanctuary on 9th November 2024

The department of Law and Legal Studies, TIIPS organised a field visit to the Okhla Bird Sanctuary on 9th November 2024. The purpose of this visit was to enhance students' understanding of biodiversity conservation and the importance of wetland ecosystems.

The Okhla Bird Sanctuary, located at the confluence of the Yamuna River and the Okhla Barrage, is a renowned wetland reserve that attracts a variety of migratory and resident bird species. It plays a crucial role in the conservation of waterfowl and other species, making it an ideal destination for students pursuing environmental studies and related fields.

 

The visit to Okhla Bird Sanctuary provided a valuable educational experience for the students, allowing them to observe firsthand the importance of wetland ecosystems and the role of bird sanctuaries in biodiversity conservation.
